Introduction
Metrology
that is the science of measurement plays a key role in the development of
society, industry, economy and trade. Our lives are engage in the various
dimensions of measurements at home, the markets, factories and
laboratories. In the modern world today, the trends is towards a global
understanding and internationalization of metrology.
The
rapid improvement of metrology contributes the development of the other
branches of sciences, particularly physics. On the other hand, physics
forms the basis of metrology. The research progress in physics changes
directly the method and result of measurement. It is therefore of great
importance to enhance our knowledge about the correlation between the two
subjects. The 3rd International Symposium on Metrology &
Physics Application and Energy Measurement (ISMPAEM 2006) is dedicated to
discussion on energy measurement from the perspective of the relationship
between metrology and application technology.
It
is expected that the symposium will lead to better professional vision on
energy measurement, thus deepening our understanding of energy
conservation and environmental protection.
Based
on the recommendation of the successful last sysmposium on a similar theme
held at Jakarta, Indonesia, the symposium will be held in Serpong,
Indonesia and organized by the Research Center for Calibration,
Instrumentation and Metrology, Indonesian Institute of Sciences (Puslit
KIM-LIPI) at Serpong, Indonesia.
The
organizers sincerely invite professionals in the symposium to present
research findings and managing concept, and demonstrate advanced meters
and equipment of measurement.
