Address by DCMTPIN Executive Chairman, Mr. Sunartoto Gunadi

Ladies and Gentlemen

I would like to express my sincere thanks to all members of Developing Country, Product & Information Network DCMTPIN) for appointing me as executive Chairman. It is my great honor to work with you in facing the challenging future and continuing our mission, programs, and activities initiated during the excellent leadership of the past-immediate Chairman, Prof. Pan Biqing.

As we are aware, although the progress speed of infrastructure construction of measurement technology and information in developing countries is not high, our background changes rapidly in last few years by considering sustainable development, conservation and safety of our society and industry. We realize as well that the healthy future of the world would not be achieved if there are many countries left behind in technology and prosperity. I hope then, by our constant efforts and supports of experts all over the world, we will gradually be able to lift up our capability and make contributions to the international society.

In the above circumstances, we should keep our fruitful cooperation with other regional and international organizations such as Asia-Pacific Metrology Programme (APMP) and various physics societies.

Finally, I wish all of you success.
